The English-Speaking Music Ensembles e.V. (ESME) is searching for an enthusiastic choral conductor.

ESME has more than 110 members rehearsing and performing in an orchestra, choir, and big band. The person who steps up to this challenge will conduct a 40-member mixed-voice choir with a broad and eclectic repertoire, preparing for concerts at Gasteig, as well as a few smaller events through the year.

If you are looking for a new conducting challenge and believe you have what it takes, please contact our management team via email to conductor-search@esme-ev.de.

You can see our choir and members of our other ensembles in action at our upcoming concert, “Sounds from Underground” on May 5, 2013, 19:00 at the Einstein Kulturzentrum.

See you March 4th at the Musikhochschule!

Welcome back, singers and instrumentalists, to another fun-filled year of music making!

The big band members are in full swing with two rehearsals already behind them in preparation for their up-coming gig on June 22. Big band rehearsals occur on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month in the Kreativ Garage from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and on alternating Thursday evenings. We are currently searching for a pianist, trompeter and trombone player for the big band on http://www.musiker-sucht.de

Rehearsals for the orchestra begin on Monday, January 21 and the singers will start rehearsals on Wednesday, January 23. Both ensembles rehearse at the Bavaria Musikstudios starting at 7:00 p.m. We are very excited to welcome back our music directors, Daniel Stratievsky and Eric Weddle, who will take the conductor’s podium for the orchestra and singers, respectively.

We are planning a few extra activities this year in addition to our summer concert, planned for Saturday, July 13. For example, our ESME Weekend Away has been confirmed for April 19-21 in Bad Schussenried.

Members, please log in for information on the music (Orchestra | Singers).

Singers and instrumentalists in the Munich area are welcome to sign up here to get more information. Although no auditions are necessary and you’re welcome to come by during our regular rehearsals anytime, please check our Vacancies post for details on our immediate needs.
