CONCERT DAY SCHEDULE:

 

Festsaal, Münchner Künstlerhaus

Time for the warmup, rehearsals and transitions

**ALL performers are expected to attend their ensemble rehearsal. Please note your ensemble’s arrival time – plan 10-15 min earlier to be ready to get on stage on time.

Thursday: RABB car load (4 cars Michael/ Davy/ Ray/ Hamdi) – equipment + percussion 

Saturday:

before 10am Timpani and percussion collection FatCat

10:30 unload timpani/ percussion Künstlerhaus

10:30-10:40   helpers/ transitions/concert team arrival, check the stage

11:00   Singers on stage, warmup, rehearsal

11:55 Come to the Music musicians on stage

12:10   Orchestra on stage, set chairs + music stands, tuning

12:20   Orchestra + Singers Messiah, marking stage (30 min)

12:50   Orchestra – Fireworks

13:00 RABB unload team arrive (meet at side street entrance) – unload cars 

13:20   RABB tech team on stage (1,5h)

14:30 RABB arrive, set up

14:50   RABB sound check (30 min); Defying Gravity vocalists join for mic and in-ear check            

15:20   Orchestra & RABB – Defying Gravity sound check, marking stage (30-40min)

16:00   Clear stage      

16:00   ALL CALL; arrive in concert attire to the Festsaal

16:05   all – Group pictures

16:30   door opens

17:00   Concert starts

After concert: car load (choir risers; RABB equip; orch timpani) – PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE FOR THE PARK CAFÉ UNTIL YOU ARE SURE YOU CAN NOT HELP; return cars to car park

After-party at the Park Café

Equipment return to KreativGarage and FatCat after the party

Künstlerhaus
The entrance to the Künstlerhaus is around the corner from L’Osteria – on the left side of the building- in Maxburgstraße
Walk diagonally across the courtyard to the main door.
The Festsaal is upstairs.

Your Belongings: Please take ALL of your things (instruments, bags, etc.) to the Festsaal when you arrive.
We will have access to the Room Club 1 (3rd Floor, 6 levels up, there is a lift), but there are no private rooms for changing.
Come as concert-ready as possible.

Don’t forget:

• Orchestra – music stands will NOT be provided, bring your own (and have a name tag on it)! and your music must be in a black folder!
  
• Singers – you must have your music in a black folder! 
  
• Big Band – if preferred, please take your own tablet music stands. We will be taking the heavy duty music stands (also suitable for tablets) and the box stands – just make sure they are black to the audience.

Dress Code

you can pick your accent colour from the concert theme – green or pink, or colour of your choice

Singers:

• Men: black trousers, white shirts, black jacket, black shoes; can wear colourful or seasonally themed tie, bow tie or pocket square.
• Ladies: all black, black shoes, colourful accent above the waist and visible from the front.
• Diverse: Pick your favourite

Orchestra:

• Men: black trousers, black shirts, black jacket, black shoes; can wear colourful or seasonally themed tie, bow tie or pocket square.
• Ladies: all black, black shoes, colourful accent above the waist and visible from the front.
• Diverse: Pick your favourite

Big Band

• Black/ black – burgundy braces/ suspenders; Singers as always – simply look fabulous! Accents in burgundy. Santa hats; potentially pink/ green accessories for Popular.

No food or drink will be provided at the venue. The venue will operate a bar, but it will not be on our schedule!

Concert Running Time: approximately 2 hours, including intermission
